A relaxing and informative trip down the river taking in the flowers, animals and sights and sounds of Christchurch. Tom was great and up for a laugh and a chat during the ride. Great weather helped our experience touching the water and engaging with the wildlife. The vessel was very comfy and plenty of room on board with blankets if you get cold. A pleasure to meet Shelby as well!
Great relaxing hour. Beautiful surroundings, great ambience. Good introduction by guide to the plants and mostly ducks. Seats were comfortable although the bottom of the boat is shallow to the seats, so those with knee problems just need to take care sitting down. The noon wind was quite cold walking up to the shed but it felt like the wind was largely blocked out through the trip, and they also give warm lap blankets. Didn't get a chance to kayak but it looked do-able even on a pretty cold day and without any fancy gear. Bought these tix with the tram combo, was a good deal especially with the hotel giving us additional discount vouchers, so check if your hotel has them!
We were scheduled to go on our second day in NZ but in was raining and the Avon flooded. The team contacted us in advanced to make arrangements to postpone. It was worth it. Nice views and our punter James was a nice and friendly chap who made the trip enjoyable.
A must go place in CHCH.My wife and I had a good time here. Surroundings are beautiful. Tom the punter is really nice. We also bought the photo when we left.
We turned up not knowing that we should have booked in advance We were accommodated later on in the day, which was great. This gave us plenty of time to walk around the city then have a bite to eat at the Cafe next door. Great experience. Relaxing and interesting. The punters are comical. Unfortunately it was raining when I went. But they give you blanket and a water proof blanket and an umbrella. Loved it but would have been a better experience if it wasn't raining but they can't control the weather! Unfortunately
Wonderful experience!! I love the vintage outfit on the staff and everything that made me feel like I was back to the good old times!
