A unique place to experience and enjoy the wonders of nature…absolutely free!! We had visited this place in Dec 2002 and didn’t remember much from that visit. This recent visit in Dec 2022 was a sheer delight - in about 30 minutes one gets to experience the wonder of nature, when no two moments are the same. The track over the blow-holes is superbly done, it helps to get great views. What you cannot see, you can hear! It is truly a treat for senses. What’s more, such a marvellous attraction is absolutely free for everyone to enjoy.
Absolutely stunning. The trail was paved but it is only wheelchair accessible for part of it until you have to go down steps. There are benches throughout it and it is a very easy walk with many places to stop for photos. Note that they do not allow you to actually get on the rocks and there are fences separating you.
great place Just beautiful and natural wonders. Except for a set of stone steps, it is suitable for all ages to walk. It's fascinating how these rocks are formed in layers. There are great views in both directions along the coast. As you can imagine it would be great at sunset. And it's free!
It is a beautiful scenery. Rocks formed like layers , which looks like a pancake. I guess it might be the reason behind the name. But, anyways I was not lucky enough to witness the blowhole, may be wrong timing due to low tide. Beautiful rock formations. Water pools between rocks. Really gorgeous scenes around. Wheel chair accessible. Medium to strong network coverage.
We took our very active 2yr old here on our way to Greymouth and it was the perfect place for a great run around and stretch. The formations are very unique and the walk around was good. We ended up going around twice- just stay very close to your children on the walk way. There was a lot of construction going on across from the look out and parking in the middle of summer was very tough to find especially if you are towing a caravan. So just somethings to be aware of. All round a great spot!
Beautiful lookouts on a nicely paved, mostly flat, easy to walk path. The walk takes about 15-20 minutes without stopping, but budget around 30-45 minutes here as there are lots of nice places for photos and many information panels. The loop path that leads to the blowhole has steps involved, so may not be accessible to all. There is a large carpark across the street by the iSite and cafe.
Absolutely beautiful scenery! Much more breathtaking than we expected! If you have the opportunity to visit, definitely do it! You’ll be glad you did! Just stunning!!!
Great little tourist spot. Lots of parking etc. Takes about 20 minutes to do the walk with photos. Well maintained track and native gardens.
This place is incredible. Fantastic walkways and viewing points. Staggering what Mother Nature can create. Amazing views back to the rainforest. Highly recommend.
Have alot of car parking space for tourists and separate designated parking for caravans. Clean toilets and wheelchairs accessible and good place for fun and relaxing
