Story

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you to Pukeoware School.

Pukeoware has a proud 140 year history of providing quality education to local children. Our vision is to produce empathetic, proactive and enthusiastic learners, who demonstrate the development of a range of dispositions which will enable them to be resourceful, responsible and productive citizens. This is encapsulated in our school motto, “Kia Kaha – Kia Toa, Be Strong in Heart – Be Brave in Mind.”


We pride ourselves on having a highly experienced and enthusiastic team, and on the level of extra curricular care and attention we can give your children.


Despite having had enormous growth over the last few years we maintain the positive aspects a country school offers, i.e. a caring inclusive education for our community.

We are very fortunate that at our school education is seen as a partnership between parents, teachers and students. This is reflected in the large number of parent helpers, a booming Parent Teacher Association and an approachable Board of Trustees. Our door is always open and we welcome community assistance, feedback and suggestions.
