Feeling like i really wanted to get a new duvet cover, but not able to pay the $70 for a new one at briscoes when it's already discounted by 70%, i went in and found just what i wanted - a beautiful king size duvet and pillow cases for $10. So Thankful! Plus the staff were really helpful even though it was just on closing time.
I used to love this shop and during the years I lived in Franklin I have donated and bought a lot of stuff. However, I am going to re-think my support for this charity because of their rude staff and total lack of respect for the customer. They are the only outlet in Franklin that doesn't offer baskets to their shoppers. If you like more than one item - well, you will struggle to carry your finds around the shop and to the counter. They are also the only secondhand outlet here that doesn't pack your items and don't even offer you a bag. There is a young woman at the till, who is extremely rude. Yesterday I bought 6 items, half of them breakable. I asked her for a bag, so I could carry them safely to my car. She literally threw one at me! Don't expect a smile from this creature. She is there to humiliate you! Shame on you Salvation Army store, Pukekohe!
Very good! Very nice organized shop. Prices is reasonable really to help people to survive who need help now. Huge range of household stuff. Clothes and toys . Thanks!
Lovely volunteer staff. Great variety and prices with things changing every day. Great store to shop at!!
Used to be one of my favorite charity stores but sadly no longer. The prices now are silly! I saw a kmart plant pot there today and it was priced higher than it was new at kmart. Plus a small lego set priced at $70! You can buy the equivalent new from Farmers or Warehouse for between $35-$40. Get real with your pricing please!
The one star is for the young male "so called " manager with an unprofessional attitude towards customers, and should be replaced. Your store clearly states the opening hours. A hand written note was left on the door clearly stating that the store would be opening at a different time fine . That time came and passed. People waiting to shop at the store. Instead, you and your staff decide to sit at the back of the store visible for all to see. You knew there were people waiting, yet you sit and did nothing. The store was still closed at midday. Customers wanting to shop and spend money, giving to your charity must be such an inconvenience. I spent elsewhere. In future if your store is going to be closed how about typing up a notice advising that the store is closed for a reason. Don't be such a plonker!
Lovely team. Helpful and good quality secondhand goods.
We have been shopping at the Sallies for years but after today I don't think we will be back . The young girl on the counter needs more training on how to speak with people and the Manager, well the lady who said she was sorry but she needs replacing asap I've never known anyone in authority in a second hand shop to yell at a disabled person while asking a question and after asking a simple question.Total disgusted with her mannerism and lack of help loading a item into a vehicle staff/volunteers seemed more worried about what they had and were putting into their bags outback.
Very Rude staff at collection station
Coming from South Africa, I am in awe of the Charity or Op shops here in NZ. The Salvation Army stores offer a fantastic range of products at incredible prices along with friendly staff.
