Tony come and inspected a vehicle at my home, it needed to be taken into the workshop & he provided excellent, honest advice of my easiest options. Highly recommend, totally awesome to deal with! Thankyou very much!
Tony, Neil and the team are amazing. I used their services for the first time a few weeks ago and they are now my go to auto mechanics in Fielding. Great customer service and very competitive prices.
Car brokedown just out of town. Clayton called to say he'd be 10mins. 10mins later he arrived. We put car on truck, which he took to repairer. Appreciate the great service provided by Clayton. Recommend!
Was towed today, great service very polite and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better service. If you need help, give these guys a call first!
Excellent service, went above and beyond, dropping my car back to me after a WOF, Highly recommended
We had to be towed yesterday. You picked us up and replaced the part the next day. The staff was very nice and we had a very nice conversation. Thank you for your work
Provided my AA Callout service. Neil the mechanic who was sent went above and beyond to ensure the new battery I required was fit for purpose and brought a whole selection just in case. Upon arrival he ensured safety was the priority before any work commenced. He then was meticulous with his job, making sure everything was right & tight before I left. After this kind of service I'd highly recommend Tony and his crew for any vehicular requirements, he obviously runs a very tidy operation. Thanks!
PRICE WARNING. The alternator of my motorhome went faulty and the battery gave up in Bulls. The AA call-out confirmed this and I had a choice to return it to have it towed home to Taranaki or get it fixed locally. I should have took the former as I would have saved at least $1500!! The AA guy virtually insisted I should get it fixed at PFS local AA affiliated garage and towing company saying they would have it fixed the following day they did! and even called them to ensure this. My inner city up-bringing and gut feeling made me suspicious of falling into a trap whereby I’m now mercilessly at the hands of one garage with a licence to drain my bank account - but my experience in NZ in the past 8 years has been one of genuine people out to offer authentic assistance - so I ignored the former. The motor home arrives at PFS late in the afternoon after a debacle of a pick up that I will leave out for now. Everyone is super friendly and professional - more so than I’ve seen at any other garage in over 40 years of using them. I’m assured it will be fixed the next day a nice to have but not a must have for me as they have already ordered the alternator for overnight delivery earlier that day… Wow. My Gut feeling is off again, but I over -rule it assuring it that we have potentially found the garage of the century here it’s certainly a high quality and expensive set-up here. There were a couple of other motor homes being worked on, which again was either a sign of an amazing garage or funnelling of unfortunate homers who had suffered break downs and were in the honey trap where anything can be charged. I called at 10am the next day to ensure the alternator had arrived. The affable Tony the owner verified it had and they would be starting on it immediately after tea break - fantastic part of me thought, whilst having that lingering feeling I was about to be ripped off. I called again at 11.50… one and a half hours after they would have started it. I was given the good news that it had been removed - no mention was made of any problems in doing so. It was all on target to be ready later. At 3.30pm I call back expecting it to be finished to be told that men were working on it right now but it would be finished by the time I got there from Wellington 2 hours away… my gut feeling is now speaking to me disappointed I had not listened! I arrive at the workshop at 5.30pm and a swarm of 5 men surround or are inside the van putting the final screw into the floor plate covering the battery and re-setting the electronics. It appeared choreographed to look like a big bill was coming… which it was. The also affable Neil Tony’s deputy led me to the executive office and told me to sit down as I was about to be in for a shock. At this point my GF was laughing at me! I had already checked Autotrader and the requisite Ducato alternators were available for between $300-$500 incl GST Mine on the bill was over $1000 plus GST… ouch - I questioned this but the answer was ‘we don’t buy our alternators from Trade me’ perhaps you should. Sure there were a couple of serpentine belts and I was informed my battery was now dead so a new one was fitted - but believing two mechanics were on it for 6 hours each takes some believing. So there we have it - I paid the bill for $3018.14, had a pleasant conversation on various topics with affable Tony, and walked out with my gut feeling extremely disappointed for not listening. Learning points other than listen to GF from now on - make sure I get estimates and am kept fully informed of anything that is going on when I’m dealing with a garage. Btw - the old alternator likely only a faulty rectifierand battery was not left with my vehicle, which I would have expected from previous experience with reputable garages. Finally I gave Tony the opportunity to justify his charges, explained I had no problem in him making some profit from the alternator, but not a ridiculously excessive one. I’m still waiting for him to confirm what he paid. Caveat Emptor
We can't speak highly enough of Tony and his team at Professional Fleet Services in Feilding. We've been taking our Burstner Elegance motor home there for a few years now, after being highly recommended by an ex Air Force pilot friend of ours, who is extremely fussy on who he has looking after his Burstner! We would never go anywhere else and we drive an hour to get to this company. Keep up the good work PFS!Services: Steering & suspension repair
