Excellent meal and worth the price. We were very surprised to find authentic indian cuisine in Greymouth. We didnt expect much because the decor its not your typical indian restaurant and it says cafe and restaurant at the name sign. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving a good meal in a nice ambience when you are in Greymouth.
I order on line at 5:10pm for pick up at 5:30. I get there at 5:35. Ask if it's ready and he says about two more minutes. I wait. A few minutes later he comes out with a takeaway bag up to a man in a hooded sweat top and his young daughter. I hear the name Sheree. The guy takes the bag then leaves. I was wondering if that was surposed to be for me because what is the chance of two sherees ordering at the same time. Time goes by more people get their orders. At 5:50 I again ask where my order is and I show him it on my phone. There was another order sitting on the counter that had been there since 5:39. Not mine. He goes out the back and then comes back and says it will be ten minutes. I tell him I have to go and he says it won't be long. I wait again and at 6:05 he brings me my order. When I get in the car I start eating the two samosas. They are only warm on the outside and cold in most of the inside. I get home dish up the butter chicken for the kids. The colour of it is not an orange red colour it's brown. I taste it and it has a very strong ginger taste and lemon. Doesn't taste like butter chicken at all. The sauce is completely different to what it's always like. The kids taste it and agree with me and they can't eat it because it's not butter chicken tasting. They don't like it. I have ordered this off this resturant lots of other times and also eaten in the resturant. Never had any problems but tonight was not good at all. Had to cook the kids chicken nuggets from the freezer. Parking: On side of street.
Food was good. Lots of vegan options. Curry’s are very flavourful. Samosa’s were great size and quite nice. However, the rice was a tad dry, mushrooms not tasting fresh, and the meal was not very hot temperature wise being served extremely quickly, suggesting not freshly prepared. Lady wouldn’t allow us to sit at a table of our preference even though the restaurant was almost closed and empty. Felt a bit pushy. The size of the curry’s in relation to the rather high price wasn’t great - I would expect a much larger serving for the price.
We ate here 2 nights in a row. First takeaways then done in. Amazing food great flavors. Service was fast and friendly. Very busy but no delay with food or drinks. Clean and tidy venue. We loved it. Vegetarian options: Great range of options. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu including options of Indian and classic kid food for less adventurous kids. Parking: Easy on street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at door space by tables for access
Have been a local regular [2-3 times a week sometimes] always loved a butter chicken but recently the staff have changed and that includes the chef. Butter chicken has lost its unique flavour that I've never had anywhere else and it's very sad.Food: 1/5
We have dined at Priya twice now and both times the experience was excellent! Beautiful food, great service and the restaurant itself is stunning. Clean, stylish and modern and also very comfortable! Highly recommend!
This restaurant has been open 28 years and the decades of experience shows. The chicken jalfrazie was delicious. What's more, it arrived streaming hot, in generous portions, to our table barely 15 minutes after we ordered. Friendly staffFood: 5/5

Bit hit and miss with this place! I PMd them before posting this feedback, there was no reply. Ordered the mango chicken only 5 little bits of chicken. Tasted like they squirted some sweet mango flavoured sauce on top was yuck! Ended up throwing it out.
Great night out with friends. The food was very good, the right quantities. Staff were friendly and professional. Atmosphere was nice and the place was warm. Prices were above average.Food: 5/5
