Prince's Wharf Liquor

Not a great vibe in this shop. The cashier literally looked annoyed to ring up my sale. He didn't even say a word to me just expected me to read his screen for the total price. Costs are averaged for a small liquor store. Cannot buy singles only 4 or 6 packs.

Was staying at the M Social and it was the only liquor store open. Saw the bad reviews but was desperate, as I am from the US and bar prices are like $25.00 a drink in this area. It was close and still open in the evening, is the only positive. Prices are high even for Auckland and the cashier was terrible. I only had cash and she was reluctant to take it. Pointed to a sign that said we prefer cards. Didn't know or wouldn't tell me the prices of any of the smaller bottles behind the register. I would only go here if you are desperate on vacation from a cruise ship or staying nearby. The only positive reviews are from Asians I noticed, whom I assume get treated better. I am white

Awful place, $10 to $15 more expensive wines than nearest new world. Very rude customer service. Avoid

The lady made us feel so uncomfortable. She treated us as if we were some kind of criminals following us around and every time we try to decide to pick a bottle she was all up on our face. All we wanted to do is buy a gift for a 21st. There was another customer in the store and we felt single out. Answering to your response below because google won’t allow me to reply to your comment - I understand you need to protect your interest, after all you are running a business with this economy but can you explore how are we “suspicious”? Is it because we are brown descent and the other customers were white? At least train your staff to make conversation with your customers and maybe you won’t have to generalise a specific group to who is “suspicious”

This place not have very much choice of wine .for certain only .I was in the shop about 15min..take my time choose the match wine for my friend .but the worker seem not happy of that at all .it seem like I will steal his wine..not friendly at all .if can don't come to this place to buy your wine .there are more options in Auckland..From Asia Wine Lover

I love this place! Great location Great service. Stock large range of beers and wines. Open late at weekend night , reasonable price!

I have never posted a bad reveiw before but this was a horrible horrible shop. Extremely rude staff, i advised them that google maps said they closed at 6pm it wat 8.30pm when we walked passed she replied "so??" I said I just wanted to help as she may be loosing customers, she didnt care and was horribly rude. We were charged twice the price of anywhere else. Will never go back. Please dont support these horrible rude people

if you are looking for premier wines and spirit this is the one. The owner is a whisky expert. We had very interesting conversation and been advised with expert level buying tips. It is the shop if you want an unique shopping experience. Highly recommend!
