Great track to watch motor racing. Lots of excellent vantage points to enjoy. Can get up close in the pits to view the the cars or bikes. Fantastic track for watching the NZ Superbikes too.
Always a great experience at Ruapuna. Been here for drags, drifting and racing. Good facilities, generally a food truck or two for events, plenty of parking and always able to have a walk around the pits which is awesome. Gets bloody cold here so even on a sunny day dress warm.
Awesome place to get out on track, the track is great , in great condition, pretty much all you could want in a track , fast Bends , herpins, long straights and technical transitions .. worth a visit

I see it is noted as a car racing track, but it is also a motorcycle race track and in particular, the BEARS Motorcycle Club hold a 6 Round Winter Series and the Annual Sound of Thunder, last weekend of February, every year. You can check it out on FB or their Website for race dates
It was awesome took my grandson for his 13 birthday in a racing car he loved it
Always a great spectacle watching the Wigram Revival and especially the Pre78's.
