Booked with friends to come for Sunday lunch, had to leave a £10pp deposit if we didn’t show, which felt a bit extreme for a Sunday lunch. Venue was really nicely decorated, very glam but also nice to have lunch, not too loud and felt very comfortable. We all had a roast dinner and we’re stuffed, food was good. Sunday dinner came with all the trimmings and we had desserts and cocktails too. Enjoyed ourselves, nice atmosphere and would come back again. There is Local street parking or multi-storey parking nearby and it’s easy to get to. Food was a little pricey, £22 for roast dinner, up to £10 for cocktails, £8 for dessert. Definitely spent more than I intended as the cocktails were delicious
Probably the best fine dining you can get in Stafford. There are very interesting dish options from the starters up to the deserts. All perfectly crafted and presented. The service is very friendly and professional at the same time. The place is beautifully decorated and perfectly cleaned. Even the toilets worth the visit. Priced are on the high side but you would expect that considering the quality and place. We have been in the place for several occasions including, lunch for two, dinner for 4 on a birthday and also simply to have a cappuccino with a cake. We will surely come back and take our friends that came to visit us to Stafford.
Amazing service from start to finish, lovely and professional staff! The good was absolutely delicious, perfection! The decor was right up my street, clean, fresh and unique! Definitely visiting again on my next trip to Staffordshire
One of our favourite places to eat! Been a couple of times now and always love it! The food is incredible, good service and lovely cocktails!Food: 5/5
My friend was amazed at the wonderful atmosphere in the Post House restaurant last night. The food was exceptional, my friend was delighted when the staff sang Happy Birthday and presented her dessert with candles, a card and personalised happy birthday in chocolate! The service by Molly was fantastic, attentive and thorough. Can't wait to take my mom for her Birthday next week!
Tried this place out for the first time this evening and would definitely recommend. Have put the current menus up here. There were a couple wirh hiccups but everything was handled with grace and professional attitude. The interior was high quality, clean with a verity of seating options. The dining seating was velvet and comfortable. There is plenty of art to look at and most of the plants not includinh the table pieces we're real. I honestly dislike fake plants but this is personal preference so makes a difference to me when they have fresh. The food was well presented see photos, cooked & put together well. They accommodated my dietary requirements with kindness & ease. The loos that I always feel the need to mention as some are horrendous were clean, smart and provide hand cream that is often an overlooked addition that makes a difference. There is also a lovely fake pink rose flower Wall that would be good for photos if you're into that. The drinks were fab, and they have a good selection. we will be trying their bar at a later date We will be going back again in the future.
We visited the post house on a Sunday evening. The restaurant and bar area are absolutely beautiful. The setting is amazing and by far one of the nicest places I’ve walked into and ate at. A nice ambience in the restaurant and the decor: especially the tables and chairs is very impressive. The food itself is mid level. I think each dish is £5 more than it should be. I had the mixed roast - great portion size and this included the vegetables too. I’m not sure if it was because most people order a roast at lunch but the roast potatoes were horrible. Clearly they had been sitting on a plate for a while and then heated up. The meat was decent but quite chewy. It wasn’t a bad roast it just wasn’t great. My wife had a sirloin steak - that was a quite good actually / again a good portion size but for £34 I think once again it’s £10 more than it should be. Drinks were very good and reasonably priced. Cocktails were nice and it was a good pint of beer - not flat but perfect. Overall I would eat here again but I wouldn’t rush back. It is a “premium” restaurant in terms of Stafford but if this was in a big place then this would be nothing special at all.
Always great food, amazing service, good value. The atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful.
We were lucky to get a table at The Post House within 45mins notice on a Friday night. Having called a few other places including a popular chain, we were concerned about being able to get a table at a decent time in a nice restaurant. We were very impressed by The Post House. The starters chilly garlic King prawns, the rosemary foccacia with houmous as well as the fillet stake & chips were delicious. The local draft beer and Argentine Malbec were delicious, too. P.S. There were more two prawns in the dish.
Really nice place, clearly fitted out to a high standard lovely surroundings. Excellent meal - one of the best steaks I’ve had, good gluten free choices also available. All round a great place, wouldn’t hesitate ate to recommend and we will be back.
