Good. Great hospitality! Friendly and warm smile from the beautiful waitress. Sry did not get her name and the warm and friendly lady boss!

Just stopped in for a couple if beers, Peroni is on tap as well as other bottled beer, wine and spirits. Place is very ambient with good mood lighting to go with efficent and professional service, on the main drag, best to park at the Wilson's carpark 70 meters away.

Have had a great dining experience after a long day. Chef was accommodating to our slight change to their recipe as we are gluten-free and it was the best fresh pasta dish. Highly recommend if you want authentic cuisine, friendly wait staff and a nice comfortable restaurant.

Amazing place for groups, family or a romantic dinner. I already tried almost everything there from pasta, salads, pizza bread, cocktails and dessert... And I loved it!!!, it's becoming one of my favourites places. Fresh and good quality food. Moreover, I couldn't complain about the lovely staff of this restaurant.

Felt the staff needed a rest as it seemed like they were just going through the motions, Understandable, they work hard for little gain at times. It wasn't at all busy so might have an added affect too to their energy levels. I enjoyed my crema squid rings and eye fillet which was cooked just right. Family enjoyed the night.

Have been there 6 or more times , mostly for a drink and pizza and management and staff have always been accommodating and welcoming. My good friend eats there twice or thrice a week His meals have looked most satisfactory. An establishment that works on a variety of levels. From an authentic Mediterranean restaurant to a place to catch up with friends and have a drink . On famia and good food.

My partner goes in for both lunches and dinners and she speaks highly of your service and food. She will be doing a review and one on yelp too she was very impressed with the customer service and the respectful and polite way in which she was treated. Her friend recommended Portofino to her and she will be bringing her friend down for a meal and taking me there on our next visit. She has said the seafood lunch and the pasta were excellent and she is ordering the steak tonight I believe as her friend highly recommends it. Thank you for looking after my wife she is eating better than I am while she is down in Takapuna ;

Although the the staff were reasonably knowledgeable they were not forthcoming about certain points. And the servers knowledge of the wines/spirits lacked enthusiasm. Being those are the only downside I am able to put into words it still only deserves the 2. Too much hype not enough to back it up

The sevice was fantastic, the staff knowledgeable of the area, gave service with a smile. The menu had a range of authentic Italian dishes and the food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely visit again.

Walked passed by and went in for asking directions, got terrible swearing and yelling at us by this lady which made us feel like on a different planet. For that, this shop will never be our meal choice AT ALL!! -> Thanks for your response. We were looking for the Daikoku restaurant they don't have clear signage of the entrance, we circled the corner back and forth, checked with the Chinese restaurant first and was told to use the steps, but couldn't find the steps hence went into your restaurant for help. This lady was busy setting up the place when I went in and apologized for interrupting her before I asked for the direction, she said it is round the corner and I asked back that" the corner still part of your restaurant" - that was when she got higher volume and angry tone "it is just round the corner" and she repeated it several times. So I left without further confrontation with her. When we walked passed by your restaurant window, we could hear her loud cursing from inside. Hope the fact helps.
