Had a really awesome experience here. The waitress was really polite and helpful, the only suggestion I'd make is letting people know they have to pay for the bottle of water at their table. Majority of restaurants give a chilled bottle of water for the table so it was very sneaky of them to charge us $10 for the water. The food was absolutely delicious though, cooked perfectly. Overall a pleasing environment, maybe a tad dark. I'd definitely eat here again.
Highly recommend this place! It's one of the few restaurants that meets our standards. Staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the nice ambience, menu had a variety of wine and pasta choices and cutlery was clean and glassware was clear it's one of our pet peeves. We ordered the gnocchi and spaghetti marinara. My partner and I absolutely loved it. He had to pause to nod and say "mmmm" in between bites. We capped the night off with some coffee and tiramisu which was absolutely divine! I wolfed it down before I got to take a picture. Overall, this place offered great value for money, we're more than satisfied.
Overall the food is nice but the service is extremely bad. It’s not recommended to visit here. Waitress Angela treated us in a very rude way. We tend to order kids meal as we had heavy breakfast in the morning and we solely want to take some light food for brunch before heading to the next destination. The waitress showed her grumpy face and asked us “if you are not hungry, why do you come to dine in?”. Since we are not allowed to order kids’ meal, our friends ordered a main course for sharing and the said waitress did not allow us to do so. I made payment and requested for a receipt, the waitress seemed to be reluctant to provide the receipt thereafter. I would like to highlight that we should be treated fairly and not to be discriminated.
The food are wonderful, the staff are very friendly, definitely recommended.
I shouldn’t bother to write a review but it is not an authentic Italian restaurant at all - it’s a franchise. We complaint to the chef and we been told to complain to the head office. What a joke. The place has no atmosphere at all. Happy to pay good $ for a good meal but this place is overpriced/ no value for what we paid. $160 for 2 entree and mains and a bottle of white wine. $26 for Mozzarella Capresse with two cherry tomatoes. No balsamic vinegar and no olive oil. We had to ask for it . An absolute joke. The Pasta was over cooked and the Risotto was undercooked. Not sure what the chef was doing whilst “cooking” this. Also not sure why we didn’t walk out. The only positive - the waiters were nice and friendly.
Probably the worst meal I ever had in my life, and now I have to spend time to write a review. Just waste of time. It may sound arrogant I know but be careful if you are looking for good meal, avoid this restaurant. We made a feedback to the waiter after paying the bill, and she said we are franchise, and if we want to make a feedback, do it to the head office because it is not her problem. The whole dining experience is not good at all. If I have to say something good about it, probably the wine as it is not from the restaurant. How sad it is! Just be careful if you are not local and a tourist like me, and your are looking for a good meal in Napier after a long day. Expensive and poor quality of food. NO!
Lovely food, great service and wonderful summer atmosphere. Would happily go there againFood: 5/5
So went in not really expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed there seafood and pasta dishes that absolutely blew me away with the different contrast of flavors from the tomato based seafood platter dish to the light garlic clam dish that was full of fresh seafood that decorated my plate. Hands down the best Italian restaurant I've tried so far. I give it a solid 8/10 would easily get a 9 if it had fresh handmade pasta. Three course meal for two at about $140 is very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Highly recommended!
The staff were very friendly with knowledge about the menu. Food was great and well priced. Would recommend trying. We will be going back again.Food: 5/5
Great food and awesome experience. Seafood platter dish was about $45ish with decent amounts of fish, scallops, clams, squid rings, mussels and prawns which I thought was good value. Other dish was chicken risotto. Cocktails were reasonably priced and service was good even for lockdown rules. Restaurant was very clean and the environment had a great feel to it. All in all a very positive experience. The only constructive criticism I would suggest is to print out the customers receipt before they pay but I had the price pre-worked out in my head. Will definitely be back.
