I was a student here a few years ago. I am now 18 and finishing my last year of high school. I think back to my days at portobello and hell, I had a blast! Met my best friend here and a nice small school. Friendly and great teachers especially you Mr Hobbs and I really miss it here. Started half way through year 5 and finished at the end of year 8. Totally recommended!!!!!
Superb rural primary school that enjoys consistently high student achievement. Located at the heart of the Otago Peninsula in the thriving Portobello township, the school epitomises its beautiful surroundings and culturally diverse and strong community. The school has its own heated pool, playing fields and multiple play areas. As well as striving in the core curriculum areas, pupils are active in the environmental initiatives, drama and the arts. Many pupils engage regularly in extra curricula activities, organised by the school: Hockey, Netball, Rippa Rugby, Athletics, to name a few. The school prides itself on creating and maintaining the right environment to produce happy, confident, life long learners.
Great place to work and teach at. A real caring environment
