Stopped in today for lunch with a small group. This is an old Hotel but it is an honest survivor. Has heaps of charm which is to be expected, and very interesting photos and news articles about the people and its history. The food was very good as was the service. There is alfresco seating, but today was not one that lent itself to it. Would happily visit again.nCheers, G
Great place to stop for lunch and a benerage when out cycling. If the skies have opened the log burner is no and the owners never mind how dripping you are when you walk in. The breakfast burger is becoming one of my favourite lunches, but the pizzas and salads are also fantastic
Food was fantastic. Partner had the blue cod, which I tried and it was very good. I had the lamb burger which was also very nice.nnThe service was a bit slack, I told the waiter it was my girlfriends birthday and he just gave an awkward laugh, she asked if she could swap salad for vegetables and doesn't mind paying extra but it was a blunt 'no', then I sat with an empty glass for around 15 minutes before getting his attention so asked for another beer, and some Mayonnaise and he somehow completely forgot there were only 4 tables taken in the restaurant.nnBit frustrating service because the food was really amazing!
Stopped here for dinner on our way to see the Little Blue Penguins. Had the blue cod and chips which was massive and we ate every bite. The ice cream sundae was awesome. The decor is a bit tired, but it added to the charm of being a local place and not a tourist destination.
Really great experience here. Went for lunch on a Friday, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was tasty and fresh. We had the blue cod & a chicken pizza with cream cheese and apricot. Both were delicious. Kids also really enjoyed, good options for them as well as plenty to entertain them few board games, colouring, outdoor kitchen Must say the lady working there was really lovely and made our experience that much better just by being kind
