Visiting Port Waikato for the long weekend, for sun and fun at Maraetai Bay, great fun for all ages decent size park for the kids to play games and two beaches for swimming,close to Port Waikato shop and boat ramp and there is a small reserve behind the shop, consisting of a play area for the little ones,great views of the beach.Reccomend for all
Has everything you need, from basics to treats and everything in-between. Great hot pies and cold ice blocks. The only store in Port Waikato so well worth supporting. Pick up a copy of the local Port Report when you're there!
5 stars because this is the only store in Port Waikato. More of a convenience store. Helpful and cheerful shop attendant. Make sure you have all your necessary supplies before heading down to the Port or else you will have an hours return drive.
Don't forget to pick up your lotto ticket!
In spite of having a large slip engulf one end of shop..clearedby the time we arrived....the store was very clean and tidy and well stocked with a wide variety of goods. Service from pleasant lady behind the counter, made us, obviously strangers, feel welcome. Advertising a free dinner for locals showed that this is a caring community. Road in was good, had been cleared of all debris.
