The crumb fish is delicious as the battered fish. Very cheap food but great feed.
Usually very good. Unhappy with poor wrap up. Felt like it was going to all open while trying to carry. Paid for scoop of chips, couple of fish, chicken nuggets and hotdog bur never received the hotdogs. Disappointed as order was read out and repeated while ordering over the phone then repeated on pick up but not everything accounted for with not knowing until arriving home and opened. By the time I had got home they were closed due to picking up on way home from working late :
Asked to have a simple combination with no veggies and was told be to hard not to add them. Then the food was drowned in gravy and had seafood in it. Even tho I hadn't asked for that option. Chips were good. But bacon burger was very plain and sauce over powering. Very let down

I go here often as the burgers are great, I really am shocked at some of the low scores here, maybe expectations need managed better, Chicken burger is the goods.
Sole fillet. Cost $4.50. Taste - delicious. Store was easy to find, staff were friendly and premises were reasonably clean. On this visit, I didn't have chips but I'm told they decent chips. Love it.
Whenever we're in Port Chalmers and need a lunchtime feed, this is where we go. The service is friendly, while the food quality is high and the prices are low. Good spot.
Absolutely amazing price, burgers have a big pattie not just a skinny small one and fish is fresh, definitely recommend
The best fish I've had from any fish'n'chip shop ever! I got the elephant fish. However would highly recommend wrapping it in a piece of the chip paper to absorb some of the extra oil first.
It’s big piece of fish at the first look. However the batter to fish ratio is super high. You kind of need to try to find fish from the batter. The queen scollop is delicious
