Just want to install a free-standing wood burner. If I lived 10 minutes away in Wellington City, the consent fee for this minor work is $255.75. Porirua City Council charge $552! No other way to look at it - simply outrageous.
Very friendly and helpful staff however the under performance from managers year on year and poor fiscal governance/rate hikes precludes a higher rating
Really pleased with PCC. They really do their best and aim to bring more joy into the community. I am looking forward to what they will do in the future.

While not the people here at the retail side of the council- they have always been polite enough. The council themselves are bloody useless. Goodness, we pay enough in rates they could answer emails about dog registration, roading hazards/things about to effect the water supply to whole streets. But no.
If you need to call PCC dont waste time speaking to Leeanne. She will either fob you off or give you incorrect information. Even if you ask to speak to someone else she will say that person is not in. Try to get one of the other CSO's as they will actually try to be of some use.

Used to buy rubbish bag here. Great service
