I went to the Islamic centre for the first time, after considering going from hinduism to Islam, and I have never experienced a more negative experience in a religious place. The people, men specifically, didn't act like religious men instead more like worshippers of the female figure, despite the fact I was a minor with my friend coming with me as well. I felt disgusted and wanted to go back to hinduism after such a result.
Once I went into the centre, prayed my namaz, and was getting ready to leave I noticed I was being stared at lustfully even as a full hijabi in a niqab. The guys there didn't lower their gaze and instead of praying they kept making eye contact and talking amongst themselves, despite the fact it was the women's area to pray. I’m a convert I’m new to this, and I don’t think this is right!
I felt very uncomfortable in this centre, the owners were beyond disrespectful. Once entering the centre alone I felt a dark energy like evil eyes. I also saw a dark figure resembling a jinn in, shockingly enough, the daylight. Never coming again.
They discriminated against me for being a prior Hindu before becoming a Muslim. They mocked my name and said the S in Shanvi is for shaytaan.
It is a bad quality Islamic centre, lots of misinformation about Islam was spread. They even claimed prophet Muhammad PBUH as a second allah.
