Shocking service from a rude pimple covered woman who couldn’t cope under minimal stress. We were at the counter on a Sunday morning waiting to order - she randomly shouts at me that there was a 15 minute wait no issues here that’s a Tuesday morning in Auckland then proceeds to tell me she is abused all the time because of the wait times - what she wanted was for us to leave so she didn’t have to serve us …. This woman needs a career change and some more staff and Any…. Way ….. ended up at the bakery next door - friendly fast and clean - maybe they could give Poppy’s some tips

I normally don't write reviews of cafés, but this one really deserved a good one! Really good food, and not overpriced, with excellent service. I really loved the atmosphere of the café too, it was really warm and cozy, with indoor and outdoor sheltered seating. It's such a cool idea that they had blankets on the seats as it's winter so everyone can keep warm! And the games on the tables were a really good idea too!! Our table had mini connect four and Uno which would make the café an excellent place for families to keep the little ones entertained. At the smaller tables, there were puzzle books which would make the café also good for dining alone. Such a great place and really recommend going here if passing through Tirau.
Very rude lady behind the counter, ignored us completely. When we left there were two European costumers and her attitude was completely different. When someone make you feel they are racists, they probably are.Food: 1/5
