Very different from the previous times ive stayed. Although the towels and bedding lovely the bed itself was obviously two singles pushed together. The spa was 'closed for maintenance' this wasn't noted on website which really annoys me. There was no plug for the bath so couldnt use that instead. Water splashed all over the bathroom when having a shower as the glass door wasn't long enough.nThere was a cockroach on the luggage table and the fridge was so noisy I actually turned it off to be able to sleep. There was a sign saying do your own dishes and remove rubbish? This used to be included?nTo top it off the place was deserted. I guess a reflection of the extra $100 i paid from my last stay. Although it's close to the st peters events probably wont stay again.
We arrived to a locked reception. When person arrived we paid and were given a plastic obscure bottle of milk unsealed with tinfoil to cover opening. Not appropriate. Beds had been adorned with asian pillows and cover which is not shown in advertisement. When leaving at 10am nobody at locked reception so posted key in box. Comfy beds and clean but not what we expected.
Benjamin is an incredible Host/manager he went above and beyond to satisfy our requirements and requests.nWill definitely be back again as we were there on holiday but as a ministry. pool was refreshing and clean, spa was beautiful staff very accommodating and went above and beyond to an enjoyable stay.nDefinitely be back again in the very near future.nWe checked in 25th December 2025 and checked out 28th December 2025.nnThanks Podium Lodge Staff.nnApostle Joshua and Pastor Shenella.
An ideal place to stay if you have an event at the Grassroots Velodrome. Literally 2mins drive or 5min walk.nnThe rooms were clean, beds were comfy. The pool and Spa were so good. Large pool and seating. Spa was large and clean.nnOnly issue is that your neighbors could see in your room so you had to close the blinds. Maybe if they put up a wall between the five rooms. Otherwise enjoyed our stay served it's purpose.
Family Christmas weekend here was awesome! From the time we first chatted to Ben through to checking out, the whole process was seamless and no request was too much for them. The layout works really well for big groups, the hub worked perfectly for the communal dinner and the weather meant the pool area was very popular! Would not hesitate to use Podium Lodge again.
