The Project Management Institute (PMI) was established in 1969. Since then, it has grown to be the world’s largest and most influential project management association, and now has over 500,000 members globally.
PMINZ was established in 1994, as a chapter of the Project Management Institute to encourage the development of professionalism in Project Management within New Zealand.
PMINZ currently has over 1,500 members throughout New Zealand with active Branches and Groups operating in:
Northern (including Hamilton - Waikato and Northland groups)
Central (includes Hawkes Bay Group) includes North Island from Welling to New Plymouth and Giborne
South Island (including Nelson Group and Dunedin Sub-Branch)
PMINZ also provides many professional development opportunities through the annual conference, seminar series and facilitation of study groups for those wanting to gain their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. There are also Special Interest Groups that cater to the different industries.
This PMINZ web site aims to provide information that is relevant to its New Zealand members and those interested in Project Management, particularly within New Zealand.
