Story

With strong roots in Canada since 1995 and the US since 2000, the Pita Pit brand was launched worldwide by Pita Pit International in 2005. Pita Pit International aims to become the industry leader worldwide among pita bread quick service restaurant franchises.

The Pita Pit restaurant is founded on the premise that people prefer a place that is healthy and offers fast service and a varied and flavourful menu in an informal atmosphere.

Pita Pit was brought over to New Zealand in 2007 by Chris Henderson and Duane Dalton. Aiming to spread their enthusiasm for the Pita Pit and helping New Zealand embrace the fresh, healthy ideal. They invite you to see and taste for yourself why Pita Pita has become so popular.

In 2016, Pita Pit was then launched at Auckland International Airport food court and since its inception, it has largely enjoyed the love of airport staff as well as International travelers. It’s been a year of a wonderful journey of promoting healthy fast food. The store opens up at 4:00 in the morning which runs till 11:00 in the night. Pita Pit AKL Airport also offers various promotions which you can redeem at the store itself.

I wish I could leave no stars. Disappointed and annoyed with the poor service. I was the only ordering customer, and it was definitely not busy. I waited a very decent 25 mins before I went back up and asked about my order. He forgot! How do you forget to fill out ONE simple order!? Other than a lady that bought 2 chips, I was the ONLY customer ordering. Then he had the audacity to say, give him 2 minutes and he can make the order. TF! I asked for my money back. Pita Pit hire better staff, or better staff training

The employees here do not know their own menu. I ordered the loaded wedges and they did not put sour cream on them although that's what the menu said. I also got a combo with a drink, chips and dip but they insisted it didn't come with dip even though their menu says it does and displays the dip. The food itself was good but you are not getting what's advertised or what you pay for. They said they couldn't do anything because "the manager isn't here". Yikes. Wouldn't eat here again.

It is not halal at all. Don't be fooled by the halal sign. In fact, only the chicken slaughter is halal but it was prepared by non-Islamic workers. In addition, the same kitchen is used mixed with the ham and pork menu. They don't understand the term halal according to Shariah.
It's really tasty and healthier that any other thing on the airport, specially for breakfast. It just need some instructions, think about it like the subway, you order in one place and say everything you want on your pita.
Worst take aways for some time, man behind the counter was very unfriendly ,chicken wrap may have had 2 small bita of chicken if I'm lucky . Was more a lettuce wrap drowned in aioli 1/10Food: 1/5
No staff there - then they appear, don't want to take air new zealand vouchers, don't want to make specials, and just walk away into the back. If you're the owner you need new staff. Been here a few hours today and it's a pattern.Food: 1/5
Oh my God Don't order here unless you want to miss your flight... Very slow... no personality.. tries to avoid serving anyone... so we used the self service and still had to guide him through my order I think some extra training... and hopefully that might help
Gave me wrong order, insisted they gave me the right one with no evidence. Insisted it was my fault because the self-service machine ran out of paper and would not print a receipt. Showed them photo on my phone of the machine screen, and they changed their argument by claiming that all the extras I paid for even after showing them my screenshot did not show up on their store-copy of the receipt. Refused to replace item, refused to offer an alternative, refused to help, refused to apologise, refused to give refund. Did not follow store policy in any capacity whatsoever. Unsurprising lack of customer service/compliance from the restaurant that gets the least amount of foot traffic.
