Went to this school about 60 years ago when the Piopio pub was getting built and had to walk to school from the village. Keith Hay's first house in Piopio transported to Aria road about the same time. I remember sneaking out from home to see Santa Claus one Xmas at the community hall l was just bending over picking up some sweets he had tossed to us and next minute I felt the belt connect on my bum. Man I ran all the way home and no stopping, before my uncle could catch me. Never forgotten that, But I'm none the worse for it. Learnt to never do that again. MYERS had the dairy at the time. Im now 69 years young. Haha Have a good day to you all.
