Sheltered and close to a safe swim beach. Surf club and Cafe right there too. Clean and tidy. Plenty for kids to do. On site movies. Funky take away shop. There is a sandy, shell Beach for walks and rocks to clamber over.
This place is Amazing. The price is really reasonable and there is lots to do both on the grounds and locally. The cabin we stayed in was clean and tidy. Equipped with air-con and a full kitchen. Slept the five of us easily. Shower water pressure was excellent so important! and the supplied bathroom products were lovely.
Great place to stay, beautiful beaches on the doorstep, very clean site, helpful staff and great location and a good price, lovelyand dark at night too but safe enough to see when walking about.. What more do you need?n
Pinewood is a great park there are a decent amount of grass spots in the main area of the camp and a varied mix of grass and asphalt spots up in the hill that are spread out between the large amount of cabins and permanent campers try to stay in the main area if possible there are a couple of ablution blocks with free unlimited time showers and smaller kitchens, there is however only one dining area. It's only a short walk to the beach and surf club, there is a decent Chinese takeaway and a four square only a five min walk away and Auckland is an easy drive for day trips if you want that sort of thing. The prices are reasonable and the owners are friendly and I'd stay there again if I'm around the area.
We enjoyed our stay at this large holiday park, we were in a tent site and used the kitchen and bathrooms which both seemed clean. The campsite we got was nestled between a section of cabins, it was reasonably flat for a tent setup and enough room to park a car. The park was close to the beach which had some great views.
