A decent 2/3* hotel to stay in Eastbourne. It is located right opposite the Eastbourne Pier and a few minutes away by walk from the city centre and 15 minutes away from the station. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The room was of a decent size with one double and one single bed and was clean. We had breakfast included but can't say it was good. A few things on the menu/table but they serve English breakfast. Just in case you are hungry there are plenty of restaurants in town. Overall, it was OK hence the 3*. Walkability: Only a minute away from the pier and a few minutes away from the city centre.
Stayed last night in room 105. With a lovely pier view, room was good not big but spotless like the rest of the hotel, the reception girls were just lovely . Made us both feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious. Our only issue was the bed. The mattress so extremely soft . And uncomfortable so I had a bad nights sleep and had a very sore right arm in the morning . I did tell the reception lady on check out. She said she would tell the manager, other than that the hotel is very clean and tidy. Thank you Nearby activities: Lots of shops. Cafes and the Big wheel on the beach Safety: Good keep phobe lock and staff on all the time . Walkability: The hotel is near all the shops. Restaurants and right actress from the pier itself .
I only stayed here by chance as I was let down by a "3 letter chain hotel " just down the way at the very last moment and I'm jolly glad I did, because the other hotel was a right toilet. The Pier on the other hand was lovely, ladies on reception were lovely and the location was brilliant. The room was clean and comfortable and I know it might sound strange but a pillow makes or breaks a nights sleep for me and the pillow was perfect. I'd definitely stay here again
We did not have a lot of problems here. When we arrived at 9pm they couldn't hear us knocking, but I went via the Emerald bar and the lady sent us through! In the morning I told reception, as we checked out, that the phone charger in the room does not work lack of cord -- her response was, oh yes, it does not work. I guess someone nicked the cord. But I guess we didn't book it assuming that it contained a working phone charger anyway. The place was clean, the room was adequate, and quiet. So no real complaints. What I don't understand about any of these hotels is why they charge high prices and appear to have few rooms let in April. Why not stack em higher.
We take our group in the pier hotel bar on a regular basis we are always treated to a very warm welcome shanny and her staff are very good and helpful would highly recommend a visit loads of good music events nice atmosphere. Very well decorated five Star. Keep up the good work x
Also known as “THE EMERALD BAR” This is one of my favourite places to go, they have a nice selection of drinks, fantastic bands on every weekend, amazing roast dinners and such lovely staff, Shainey goes above and beyond for her customers, always greeting people with her beautiful smile and wonderful personality. I highly recommend you visit The Emerald Bar
Great location and friendly staff. Room was very small, just big enough to walk around the bed. The windows were very small and felt like I was on a cruise ship, the view of the pier was nice though.Rooms: 4/5
We myself, husband and baby stayed here for a night 2020. The rooms are amazing, very spacious and very clean. We had breakfast this morning and Stefan was absolutely charming. He made sure we were comfortable with our baby and was polite and very attentive. You don't see people like him anymore, those who value customer experience. He is a gem : The manager is absolutely lovely. She really does go out of her way to make sure that guests are happy. We have stayed here so ma y times it feels like home. Even returned for our sons 2nd birthday may 2023:
The mattress is really dirty, rubbish left on the ground, we found hair and dust everywhere, when we entered our room it was really cold turns out they didn't turn on the heating, the bathroom door kept getting stuck, the Internet was very poor. The place was just messy in general. But the good things are that the bed was properly made and was comfy, every room had a tv, when they turned on the heating it was very warm and cozy, no disturbance from other people, nice view. Overall it's a good place to stay for the money we paid.
