What an amazing Peanut Butter factory in Nelson and we went for their factory tour which was around 1 hour. It was free and the tour guide was amazing. We knew nothing about Pic’s and the tour guide was great in explaining the history to us. So glad to be able to visit their Peanut Butter Factory.
Fun and quirky place, the owners personality shines through in every aspect. I did one of the tours and found it overall good. The guide was super chill and laid-back which is the whole essence of Pics factory. Really casual place with a very personal touch, the owners memorabilia was on clear display during the tour so anyone could touch which I found a bit weird and yet nice, as it's very trusting. It endears them even more to me through the personal connection.nnThere's some freebies up for grabs during the tour, so play your cards right and you may walk away with 5kg of peanut butter
We took the tour at Pic’s Peanut Butter World, and it was an amazing experience! If you’re a peanut butter fan, this is a must-visit spot in New Zealand. The tour was both informative and fun — we got to see the entire peanut butter-making process, from roasting the peanuts to the final product being packaged. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their work, which made the experience even better.nnThe tastings were a highlight! We got to try a range of their products, including classic peanut butter and almond butter. Everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. A fun part of the tour was making our own peanut butter right there on-site, which made the visit interactive and memorable.nnThe gift shop has a wide selection of Pic’s products, and we couldn’t leave without grabbing a few jars to take home. Overall, it’s a perfect stop for families, peanut butter lovers, or anyone curious about how this iconic Kiwi brand creates such amazing products. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend.nNeed to book and FREE. At the end of the tour, there is a tasting of some products that was quick and efficient to go through all the flavours.nIt is a small and simple tour, but the tour guide was entertaining and did a great job answering our questions.
What a fun place to visit. In a little over an hour you get to learn about the history, test some of the products and see their dedication to employees and love of service dogs. We split a chocolate peanut butter shake. Why we split one and didn't each get one I'll never know, what a mistake. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Nelson, especially with children.
