Sometime the simple things done well are always the best and I definitely take my hat off to Pete's Pattie Palace.nLet's say I've sampled one or two Whitebait Pattie's while travelling around New Zealand and by far, this was one of the best.nLocated in the caravan camp and a bonus that that the beach is only a 2 minute walk for the perfect spot to eat it.nFast and friendly service, highly recommend a visit if in the area.
This man absolutely made our day!nWe were wondering what size the frankfurter sausages were and he got out a full on tape measure thing, measured every sausage he owned and gave us the best laugh ever. Food was yum, jokes were hilarious and overall we highly highly reccomend giving Pete a visit!!! He could’ve charged 200 dollars for the sausages and we still would’ve bought them!
What a treat after enjoying a summers walk along the Pororai River - a creamy smooth soft serve ice cream in a crisp waffle cone !nA genuine friendly welcome from Pete , efficient service and a chat about life in general - it’s nice when people take a minute to appreciate their customers.nHighly recommend and we will be back !
Awesome whitebait fritters that he catches himself and a good chat! Pete’s is located inside the beach camp. 1 whitebait fritter is $15 served on bread with sauce and well worth it, he also started serving coffee. Whitebait is a must try while in NZ
The Hard Antler were the best until I tried Pete’s a couple of days later. He was right. Can’t be beaten! I wish I’d gotten 2!
