Story

My name is Penny Brooks and I was born in New Zealand in 1962 – My husband & I moved to Australia in 2000 and returned to NZ in 2014.

We lived in a 37 foot converted coach for many years – which allows us to travel for Murray’s employment. Finally purchasing a cottage in Kapuni - and nearing finishing a major conversion of this.

I always had an interest in Photography but only became obsessed with it after being given my first Digital Camera as a Christmas Present by my daughters.

I love shooting Animals and Nature (including Landscapes). Having bred and shown Bearded & Rough Coated Collies for the last 35 odd years have given me a passion for capturing animals doing what they love best which lead me along the road to animal portraiture. I love human portraiture, weddings and babies as well.

I have done numerous courses on Photography and Photoshop but unlike a lot of other photographers have studied with the Tamworth Tafe and hold a Diploma of Photoimaging. This was a Full Time course which is now being done over 2 years and was a huge challenge but so very rewarding. A journey which I thoroughly enjoyed. I still continue to strive to improve my skill set with courses and tutorials.

Along with that I am a Tafe accredited Photography Judge. Murray along with other Photographers provide back up as I believe that the Candid Ring shots are as important as the Winners photos, especially at the larger shows.

I have invested in well over $18,000 in camera equipment and have what I think is the best available and I know how to use it.

I always give my very best to my Clients and Clubs and can assure you of a Professional approach to everything I do. Shows in Australia I have been involved with include Toowoomba Royal, Nationals and All Breed & Speciality Shows.
