Really cool local museum, great way to check out the history of the local area and all that it has been through. Don't be put off by the admission charge, the museum has to fund itself so paying the charge really does good. The cafe is real nice too, well priced and great range of food and drinks.

Very interesting to see the history of the lovely seaside town of Mangawhai laid out beautifully for all to see. Really enjoyed visiting this museum, like all museums around our beautiful country. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Lovely local museum, displays are well thought out. Staff friendly and helpful. Jessie's cafe does a good coffee too.
We actually went to Jesse's Cafe for breakfast! We had a fire alarm go off!! All for th hash brown that was about to be served! Still good breakfast- supporting local!!
What a really great museum - one of the best small town museums I've seen. Definitely take your opportunity to visit it if you're in this area - excellent Cafe next door too.
