Pedro's House of Lamb

Been meaning to try this place since I heard about it. The menu is very simple, lamb and potatoes with salad or bread on the side. You can get an individual serving of the tenderly roasted lamb shoulder or grab a whole one to share. It is $50 for the whole shoulder 3-4 people or $17 for an individual serving. I took mine away but there were tables for eating there. The lamb and potatoes were fresh out of the oven so they were hot in the aluminum tray, so it was good that it came with a cardboard carrier too. For some reason, I was expecting the potatoes to be creamy like a gratin but it wasn't. Instead, it's really soft herbed potato slices. Both the lamb and potatoes were really nice and there was plenty of juices in the tray. Lots of meat and potatoes for a meal or two depending on how many people are there. If you like lamb then you will most likely love this place.

Best roasted lamb in NZ. I wish they could sell the stock itself. Such amazing meal with the best Spanish hospitality. Tks guys

Not just delicious lamb. There is now Estrella Damn on tap and tapas. Friendly staff and nice new decor. Even table football if you can drag yourself away from the food

Extremely limited menu but what's available is all you'd ever need. We got the whole lamb shoulder with scalloped potatoes to share for two. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked and flavoursome, and filled us both up. We ate in the restaurant which caters more for takeaway but has a few tables, this does not diminish the cozy atmosphere and the service is warm and welcoming. They also offer salads and bread rolls, and deliver through uber.

Killer meal. Fastest service ever. You order and before you can say "shoulder", the dish shows up at your table. Fuss free, honestly good slow cooked lamb shoulder. Menu is minimal but who needs a million sides when you have such a yummy piece of lamb? Lovely place, great service and delicious food. Absolutely fantastic.

The lamb is perfectly cooked ... they say it's a meal for 2 ... but when/if you add a couple of vegetables, we found there is enough for 3 hungry people ... 4 at a stretch ... or 11 supermodels

Excellent Lamb Shoulder. Falls off the bone and served with fast potatos. The service was also great if you choose to dine in. The shoulder is a generous portion which is great for three people.

Succulent lamb shoulder - smells and tasted divine. Good value for money at $45 for 3-4 portions. Love this as a takeaway option for cold winter evenings!

I don’t usually do ratings buttttt this Amazing place. One of the best on my month trip, north and south combined. Great price. Great flavours. You have to go.
