*UPDATE: I've never left a one star review before, but due to PB Tech's refusing to respond to multiple emails and calls, I felt forced.nnThis experience with them–having such poor communications, spending hours writing emails only to have them half read and replied to incorrectly, refusal to compensate me for my time—has been incredibly disappointing and such a waste of my time. I ended up having to submit to Disputes to finally force them to reach back out to me. Their customer service manager, while maybe trying to be helpful, was dismissive, under apologetic, and refused to give me the compensation I deserved.nnTheir pricing is great, that'll get you in the door, but if you have issues, their customer service and complaints process is dismal and untrustworthy. I've personally walked away from this feeling unheard, frustrated and poorly compensated.*nnOrdered Christmas gifts in Dec 2025. Suffered 3 months of delays. Paid for an upgrade. Received a faulty unit. Waited 2 more months. Received a second faulty unit. PB Tech short-changed my refund, and though Tania officially escalated it to the Customer Services Manager two weeks ago, management has gone completely radio silent. Five months of terrible service and zero accountability for breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act.
This place has a problem with ego. Every time I’ve come here to shop, I’ve immediately felt judged by the staff. Whenever I ask a question, I get looked at as though I have no idea what I’m talking about. The staff often act like they know everything about computers and assume everyone else knows nothing. They tend to overexplain technology in a condescending way, especially if you’re a woman.nnA while ago, I visited this store to buy a PC. While I was looking at the display models and comparing specifications, a staff member approached me and asked, “Shopping for your boyfriend?” I found that comment incredibly disrespectful. It was strange to assume that I couldn’t possibly be shopping for myself. Caught off guard, I replied, “No, I’m shopping for myself.” The staff member responded with a surprised “Oh!” and then proceeded to explain everything to me in an overly simplistic way.nnAfter that interaction, I decided to leave and shop elsewhere. I eventually purchased a PC with an Intel Core i7 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB storage drive. It’s an amazing PC and runs games incredibly smoothly.nnTo be clear, PB Tech offers a great range of technology products. My issue is not with the products, but with the customer service. My advice would be to invest in training that encourages staff to be more inclusive, respectful, and approachable. Anyone, regardless of gender, can be interested in technology and capable of making informed purchasing decisions.nnIt’s disappointing that experiences like this are still happening.
Had the very cable I required on the shelf. The staff were very helpful. A look around the store had me wanting all sorts of the latest technology. It was good being able to handle all the latest phones and tablets, feel them in your hand as weight does differ through the ranges. Plenty of staff to ask questions but had to get out quick in case I made some impromptu purchases. Parking on site.
Today I visit the store to by a hold holder tripod attachment. I was served by Kim and found him friendly, helpful, and also very knowledgeable about the products.
I have made a few recent purchases with PB Tech. They have consistently provided great service, good value, and timely support.nnFor Black Friday sales, i purchased a new PC and set up. The in-store staff helped me get the best deals possible, and arranged having it delivered to the store to save me the delivery fee and prevent it being pinched from my porch. It ran smooth from first plug in and was set up for me.nnWhen i accidentally double purchased a product, once in store and once online, entirely my mistake, the staff in-store immediately actioned refunding me the second product.nnWhen i purchased a new phone, and the model went on sale the next week, I reached out and they refunded me the price difference to give me the sale price I missed out on.nnEvery member in-store i have engaged with has gone out their way to help me and really built trust with the brand. When purchasing expensive tech products, is great knowing they arnt trying to get every penny out you.nnWould highly recommend them, and if your trying to find a good deal on anything tech related go ask them for help!
