I came into the store and was trying to find an adaptor. I noticed a young lady stocking the shelves and asked her for some assistance. Her name was Sianne and I explained my situation. Sianne dropped what she was doing and happily assisted me, we couldn't find the cable at first, so Sianne went to check the stock computer and promptly located the cable I was after. She then asked if there was anything further that I required, I replied that I'd found what I was after and thanked Sianne for her assistance. Despite PBTech Petone being a busy store, the customer service that I received from Sianne was nothing short but exceptional and I would like to extend my thanks to the rest of the PBTech team and management for upholding such high standards of customer service. If I could have selected zero stars for customer service at the Petone branch of PBTech I would have. Not one staff member in that store achieves any level of customer service. If you try to approach them they either turn away of move to a screen and pretend to be busy. I went to the Petone branch specifically to purchase a bunch of PC parts. All those parts were shown as in stock on the PBTech website. Sure only a couple of grands worth of parts so not a massive sale. Were staff interested? No they were not and the store was almost empty.nnStaff at PBTech Petone clearly have no knowledge of or any level of retail training. The only other option is that they are simply lazy.nnI never got served. I walked out after waiting about 20 mins.
The product range is great! Unfortunately, the customer service from the person serving me at the Petone branch was pretty poor based on my most recent click and collect visit. I would actually go as far as to say that it was actually a nerve-racking experience, as if I was just getting in the way. I'll still go there when the price is right and for the product range, although I won't hold my breath on the service front that's for sure!
Previously a happy returning customer over the years but updated score to reflect customer service for dealing with faulty goods. PB Tech don't swap out faulty goods straight away even if you return them after just a few weeks with all the packaging, no they send it away for a few weeks to look at it first! Never experienced this with other stores JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, know where I will shop now going forward
