We ordered:nPrawn tacos - fried prawn with slaw, onion & pineapple. They were very tasty, highly recommend.nFish & chips - snapper was very freshnCalamari - cut like fries & very tasty with their homemade tarter saucenCrab stick - fresh chunk crab leg that was fried. This was AMAZING! A must have I wish we would have ordered more.nWe were looking for a sit-down dinner but all else was closed and I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was and a beautiful evening to eat outside.nThe staff was very friendly and talked about the area with us.
So we arrived late one evening at our accommodation. The local supermarket had already closed. But I found that the take away was still open. We wanted milk for our coffee in the morning and the staff on was extremely helpful and willing to sell us some milk. We then bought some ice cream also. We returned a few days later and bought fish and chips. Beautiful thin crispy batter and chips was great. The gentleman was just about to shut the doors - but happy to take our order. Thank you Pauanui Take Aways - you made our getaway memorable n5 stars from us
Great service and food.nnBest fries we’ve had - perfectly cooked, not too much salt and nice and crisp not soggy!.nnBurgers were amazing - well prepared with fresh ingredients. Battered fish very tasty, generous portions.nnTry the cheesy-weesy scoop of fries. Kids loved it so did the adults!
Had a piece of snapper and chips. Very nice. Have some nice big seats out front
If there is a best fish n chip competition in NZ, pls add your fish to that competition. We ate the best fish ever tasted in the many years on this earth at your shop. The fish was fresh, beautifully battered and cooked to perfection.nWe are only visiting in the area but are so glad we tried your food. We ate here two days in a row and are gutted that your closed on Monday but made the most of it on Sunday by ordering two fish each.nBeautiful customer service on both days and was cooked very quickly.nThank you so much and apologies for the terrible photo as we were to hungry lol.
