We are a motorcycle retailer who specialises in all forms of motorcycles, ATV's and Utility Vehicles.

The Company is owned and managed by brothers Mark and Bryan Patterson, who both have a lifelong involvement in motorcycles from the early days of trail riding to moto-x with numerous New Zealand titles and a New Zealand No. 1 Moto-X title each.


Mark now specialises in motorcycle suspension.We have seven staff with most involved in some form of Dirt, Road and Motard riding.

Our Parts Department is well known for great service, was number 1 KTM parts dealer several times and also specialised in the 'hard-to-get' old KTM parts with a large inventory of pre-1995 parts.

We have been KTM Dealer Of The Year for Industry Excellence three times. We will go out of our way to source you any motorcycle or part you require, just ask one of our friendly staff.

Our newest Franchise is Yamaha Motorcycles and ATV's, which has grown rapidly for us as it is a proven success worldwide with a brilliant reputation. Yamaha works well with our existing Kawasaki and KTM brands which puts us in the unique position to have a model to suit everyone !

We carry a huge range of dirt bike accessories and riding apparel with Fly and Fox gear a specialty. We can send overnight to anywhere in the country Genuine Parts or Accessories.

Our workshop is modern, spacious and one of the cleanest in the country. With six thousand square feet of room, your bikes stay inside a safe and clean environment while being repaired.

I had 2 quad wheels that needed new tyres putting on the rims and I supplied the new tyres. The old tyres had tubes in them and I was asked if I wanted new tubes to go in the new tyres and I said I would prefer to go tubeless. They completed the job and I took my wheels home but they both went flat before I even got them on the quad. They both were leaking around the bead as no bead sealant had been applied. I returned to the workshop a week later and asked if this could be sorted and without even looking at the tyres I had 3 mechanics tell me they needed tubes. I disagreed as these were galvanized rims with only minimal rust in the bead and thought it should be able to be fixed with a wire brush and bead sealer. One mechanic tried to pass the blame onto me as I had "Instructed" them to go tubeless. I told them this was not true and nobody at any stage told me there could be problems going tubeless. Eventually they decided to clean the rims properly and put bead sealer on them for me. There are no more leaks and I am happy with the work they CAN do. I am just disappointed that they did not want to fix their mistake. Since this has happened to me I have heard stories from others where Patterson's does not want to take ownership for their mistakes. I will be very cautions using Patterson's in the future.
They sold a new motor bike to a friend of mine, it has been back 3 times for not starting, bike had done less than 20 hrs, he was charged for every visit and the remap. Seems like they never heard of the consumer guarantee act. Will not recommend to anyone
I recently bought a front tyre for my CB 900 from Patterson O' Connor and both Mel and Mark were very helpful. Price was very competitive and the job was done professionally. Thank you.

Didn't have the spare part i was looking for in stock but ordered it in for me and when the courier didn't deliver to them in time to meet me, happily forwarded the part on down to my home. Very clued up re parts and possible substitution components. Easy to deal with :
Its comforting to know there are still legit 'experts' in feild of motorcyle suspension. Mark is extremely knowlegeable, and knows the tricks that only someone with his experience would know. Parts were sent same day. Thanks again.
Poor customer service. Walked in and said hi to the two ladies at counter. Walked straight to helmets and tried on a few. But not one person even bothered to check if they could help or if I'm ok. If I received that courtousy they would have had a sale. Wont see me again that's for sure.
