Located 40 minutes south from Havelock North, the Patangata Tavern is an ideal place to come and relax on those long road trips out of town. With a massive gardenbar/outdoor area, it also it the perfect venue for hosting gigs and shows to an intimate crowd while they enjoy some of the best signature seafood dishes and quality beverages.

Went for lunch at the tavern, and i will highly recommend it! Remotely located, this place has its charm. The welcoming and friendly owners offered us delicious meals with generous portions. Unfortunately i didn't take pictures of the atmosphere inside, but the all place is convivial and cozy, ornamented with antique, vintage and family-oriented decorations. Appraised by locals, it's definitely worth the stop.
Amazing little tavern with a beautiful outdoor seating area cold beer and a delicious menu. Everything was cooked well and the service was very good with friendly staff.
Lovely girls serving beer n food. Fish meal was the nicest fish we had in a long time!
Great wee place. Bit out of the way, does pay wave, has wifi. Good selection of beers and pub grub. Plenty of space inside and out. Duke box and random books. Bit short on parking unfortunately, Has a kids corner and shuttle bus to do drop offs. Lots of local history and good community links.
Have been coming here since I was a baby. Staff have always been friendly with myself & my family, we’re definitely well known. The food is always amazing & the atmosphere is just like any country tavern, I love it
We arrived as a group of 23 - 15 of which were kids, the food came out fast, well presented, and delicious. Awesome environment and top service. Couldn't have been happier with our experience - highly recommend to anyone
Wonderful early Christmas dinner for our local Lions Club. Amazing food sorry I didn't take pics of the food. Great selection for $40 for 2 people, including dessert.
