Quite a number of stalls, selling mostly ready-made food such as pastries/bread, sauces, juices, and a few fresh produce stalls. Only one coffee stall and it constantly saw a queue coffee was quite good. Most stalls accept card payments. Friendly vibes. However, not enough seating and lack of rubbish bin around.
We happen to walk by after our museum visit, around its closing time. It is very upmarket in its price point, it has a very lovely vibe. After seeing prices on the produce available, I think it’s a cute farmer’s market catered for its affluent neighbourhood. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit.
Great place for reasonably priced fresh produce. There was a gentleman harvesting microgreens right in front of you and explaining how you can use them in your cooking! I recommend you get there early, have a walking breakfast from among the many stalls offering breads, pastries, samosas and more. Definitely grab the amazing coffee. Did I say you should grab the coffee? It was aromatic and not acidic at all. Freshly brewed and not burnt. There are limited seats/tables around if you do need to sit. We bought fresh honey and cherries too.
Great market despite a rainy day! Lots of goodies including olive oil, breads, pastries, fresh fruit and veggies. We went during a craft market and there were many beautiful hand crafted items on offer. Wide selection!
Oh, every Saturday ritual now. Nice vibe. It's a great way to start the day, too. It's really hard to go past a few stores without chatting to the vendors because they remember you and have a good old Auckland yarn....which I'm still getting used to because I'm new to Auckland. I'd hate to highlight one vendor over another because those I visit weekly were great, and some retailer I don't have a need for their service's but they're just nice too! It's a little hard to find if you don't know it's on. It took me 3 months of driving past the place before I noticed a tiny sign on the main road. I've taken almost all of my staff for breakfast there before work and always take away extra food for later on. Actually, there are also some nice shops right next to the markets which are awesome too! I've discovered a couple of local businesses that I've had to go back too as well. It's a small market but very nice.
Unfortunately this market has gone down hill. It has lost 4 of it's fresh fruit and veggies suppliers. Now that are lots of stalls that have fruit, but not very many veggies and what is there is not any cheaper than the supermarkets. I am so disappointed as that is where I primarily shopped and now I am not sure where to purchases veggies that will not bankrupt me. It is not that I cannot afford it, but it is criminal to charge $12 for a small cauliflower and $9 for a celery.
Great farmers market located close to the CBD! Heaps of stalls and great prices. I would recommend the Kokako coffee - had a delicious flatwhite. Also the Takoyakis are delicious and huge in size! Recommend bringing cash - there are a few stalls that dont take cash.
There were a lot of yummy pastry opportunities but limited fruit and vegetables which was we went, for organic produce, but left without any.
Nice place It’s good to shopping! Coffee is nice Vegetable is cheap
A small farmer's market with a decent selection of goods. Quality was great, and prices of some items were cheaper than at the stores.
