Love Paradise Valley Springs. I've been a few times but this was the first time going there as a family with our little one 7m old. Even though he was just sitting in the pram, he loved every minute of it, looking at the animals and the trees. The whole environment was just beautiful and relaxing. I do love that we can buy food for the animals. Also, right place at the right time, one of the staff member was feeding all the animals and we were walking past them where the Wallabies are, so they gave us a massive handfuls of food to hand feed them! I was in heaven!
Paradise Valley Springs was the highlight of our visit to Rotorua. The kids loved seeing and feeding all the cute animals even the trout. They even got to pet some of them, much to their delight. Then we got to the Lion Feeding, which was brilliant. The keeper was informative and interesting and the whole crowd was enthralled. It was a great experience and I can't recommend it enough.
Excellent a bit expensive but well worth it. We are from Wellington and we found this to be so much better than our Wellington zoo. You can get up so close to the animals and can feed most of them. We went for the lion feeding, that was great. The walk around was easy and well sign written and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We bought a toy lion for our baby to remember our trip there from the gift shop which was a great price. Also food to feed the animals was a reasonable price. Highly reccomend and we will definitely be back.
A great way to spend the day with friends or family. The Lions are fed at 2.30pm daily where you can get close enough to take some really good pictures. The enclosures have many different animals and birds as well as trout and eels if you’re lucky enough to see them in the waters. Most of the tracks are shaded by the native trees as you walk around the park. Don’t forget to purchase the cups of pellets found at reception, because you can use these to feed all the animals except where the signs say otherwise. Wonderful experience and souvenirs to purchase before you leave. We will definitely come again
Long overdue visiting Paradise Valley Springs. The weather was not the greatest for photos, but still managed to get some good ones. The walks by the streams, in the bush, with the trout is lovely and peaceful. The highlight of course is the Lions, and right now the Lion Cubs - getting to pat them before they get much older. For me the farm animals are not of a lot of interest, but younger kids will love being able to get close up to them, and being able to feed some of them, and the trout. The park is very well presented, with nice clear paths, walking tracks. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I spent over 6 hours here, mainly with the Lions, and Kea, as that was what I was interested in. The lion feeding was interesting, learning more about them. It was well worth the visit, I will return sometime when in Rotorua again, hopefully on a sunnier day.
Loved it! So much trout and heaps of different animals to see. Helps burn the kids energy too my boys are both ready to sleep. Second time we've come it was 75$ for two adults and some animal foods. Under 5s are free so great value if you've got young children if not great for all ages
What an Amazing place. Absolutely loved it! Plenty to see, great interaction with the animals and fantastic all-round place to visit. Patting the lion cubs was the highlight of the day! Thanks Paradise Valley!
Such a fun day out with the family. It was a long wait to pat the cubs an hour which was super hard for my 19 month old but he enjoyed it so that's what matters we were in with the cubs maybe 3 minutes. Next time I'd plan to go for longer and take a picnic and buy a coffee there.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

It is very fun place to visit with friends and kids. We visited there to pat lion cubs however the line was very long . When our turn came we all noticed the staff was very rude we were standing there for them to tell us when its safe to pat them instead of touching them as they were moving around the staff got very rude and asked if we can just pat one cub take photo and go. After paying the price of tickets i think visitors should be treated nicely.
