A surf club with a large modern building well placed on Papamoa Beach south of Mt Maunganui. Provides a safe swimming area with a patrolled area between flags during busy times on the beach. This is supplemented by mobile patrols that span a larger waterside range. A takeaway operating from the surf club offers a range of cafe type items.
