We visited Tauranga last weekend from Hamilton. We were looking for a place with a playground for our kids to play. Unfortunately COVID closed all playgrounds. Anyways we were lucky to find this nice restaurant next to the shopping mall. Kids ordered burgers and they loved it. Mine was a salad, great combination of flavor and leaves. Staff was efficient and fast. The new way to order online was great and easy to use. Recommended!
Good place for a bite and beverage my mate and I definatly were surprised how much we enjoyed the food. Tasty beefy-t burgers and the assorted chicken nibbles and bites were good especially with the gravy and other dipping sauces hit the spot. Burgers did seem like they had been sitting while the other foods were prepared just needed to be in a warmer or something perhaps but other than that good food, cool environment for evening meal and social drinks bring back summer.
Food is so good! We had Proper wood fired pizzas with prosciutto and kids had Mac and cheese but kids said it was OK but needed more cheesy flavour and left most of it. Other people in our group had the ribs and pizzas are decent size and filling. Good selection of beers largers spirits. Atmosphere is fun and very popular on weekends with families so best to book. Friendly helpful staff and laid back beach diner vibes. Vegetarian options: There's vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: It's colorful fun and theres two outside slides for kids Parking: Park outside pap tav or park in shopping plaza car park
Great kid friendly pub. Excellent outdoor dining - old school colourful picnic bench style. Yum food options - the Vietnamese salad and Korean wings are our favs. Kids menu with typical fare and a playground. Win win for all
We dropped in for lunch and had a great. The food and service were awesome. The atmosphere ambient, you could have a conversation and not have to shout. Would definitely go again.Food: 5/5
We have stopped in here for dinner after hitting the beach in papamoa a couple of times now. Each time we have experienced great food and customer service. The restaraunt is awesome with plenty of different places to sit. The decor is a cool beachey vibe with great music playing in the background There is also a playground for the kids. The food is reasonably priced and dress code is really relaxed which works great for just coming off the beach. The mighty burger and chips are my recommendation as the beer battered chips are probably the best I have ever tasted... the inhouse buns are also amazing! The waffle dessert is a massive serving we had to share 1 between the 2. Our family will definitely continue this summer tradition next year when we are back at papamoa!
Nice place for an outdoor drink and meal. Food was all okay but not great. Smashed potatoes were cold and tasted like old roasted potatoes, calamari was good but small portion, beef noodle salad was nice.
A bit disappointed didn't really enjoy but I guess you get what you pay for, wait staff could improve but friendly enough, decor looking a bit tired, I was here before Xmas and the meal was great.
Awesome pub been going for years but now have live music in another bar other than the R18 bar which on Sunday was like being at a child care centre, really bad, wont be back till that's sorted, bad call guys.Food: 5/5
For atmosphere this place is definitely a 5 star. Chilled and easy but fin for kids. Food can be improved. Overall a pleasant place... do not feed the seagulls.
