Stopped by for breakfast. They had pies in a warming drawer and pastries in the cabinet. We got one of each to try it out. The pies were nice, good flavour and pastry was ok. Also had the three chocolate croquant and it looked better then it tasted. Didn't have the chocolate flavour I was expecting. The hot chocolate was nice when it was warm but didn't taste as nice when cold, it somehow lost its flavour.
Great food and coffee. Does the best hot chocolate drinks. Lovely South African couple with very friendly service. If your passing through Cambridge... this is really is a compulsory stop. We're coming back.
Came back for coffee which is rather good. Unfortunately one Saturday I puchased a loaf of sourdough which cost close to $7 and it was stale. It's a shame because we need more sourdough bakeries in Cambridge and this experience does not help their business. Also they close much too early.
I am not a coffee connoisseur but I have been having my early morning coffee everyday for more than 18 years. The coffee from this shop was by far the worst I have ever come across. I literally had to throw it after 2 sips. I am sorry for giving this review but I don't want others to be as disappointed as me.
Stopped to buy a coffee in Cambridge, 30 minutes before store closed but I was told they had cleaned the machine and wouldn’t make a coffee. 1:20pm on a weekday…. The street was booming with people out for lunch.
Definitely feels like it has gone down hill in recent months... coffee isn't very good and today the pie was cold. Don't think we will be back.
What an unexpected find!! Brilliant, as authentic as you can get in NZ French baked good bread, pastries... and the coffee brought me back for a second cup to have with my pain au chocolat. The almond croissant took the first cup! Allpress coffee. Friendly, jovial service at 0730 from a gentleman who I believe might be the owner/baker? - and a couple locals seem to hover in the mornings around a table or the coffee bar... very nice! Sorry - no photos - was too hungry!!
Best coffee with hand made food on site & new owners as of this year! Definitely a must visit when in Cambridge.

I paid for a large coffee and received 1/2 a cup of froth - when I pointed this out to the Staff Member she reluctantly filled my Keep Cup to the top - o ly after I repeated that my cup was only half full off actual coffee 2 or 3 times. The custard slice I could not finish as it was too sweet and a male kept coming out from the shop and staring at my Mother and I. The cost of x2 pies + x2 small cakes + x2 coffees was $36. All in all an unenjoyable experience. I do not recommend Panache.
