A lovely parkrun event. The path is wide enough for runners and walkers. Safe, out and back course with beautiful scenery and wonderful volunteers.

Very flat run out and back on tar surface.
What a fantastic event this is. Well run and full of enthusiastic runners. The 5k course runs alongside the Manawatu River on the mainly flat and sealed pathway. Each runner receives a time and is photographed. Results and photos are published quickly and all this is free thanks to a system of volunteers who help out each week.nnThe runners range from elite runners to walkers and include wheelchair athletes. A number of kids run the event and are given special encouragement with a certificate after a number of runs. A feature of the run are the number of baby buggy mums and dads participating.nnJoin the parkrun every Saturday at 8 am starting at the Fitzherbert Bridge.
