A small regional airport with everything you need, including car rental service with different companies, food etc. The plane is normally a small one landing here. Not too busy airport and you can quickly get your luggages.
Really neat little airport, with plenty of facilities onsite... and it has exactly what you need at any given time. You get great visibility of most aircraft as they arrive and depart... which is great for planespotters and photographers alike. 15 minutes free parking at the actual airport, but there are various places to park up and take photos of some of our awesome Air New Zealand Fleet. Always looking forward to the next visit here...
AIR NZ team at Palmerston North are amazing. Do not panic- they will look after you. Airport was very clean and tidy. Good communication from Air Nz staff. 100% happy with experience.
The airport is fine. Easy to navigate. Who ever designed the new covered walkway needs a new job, you are unable to walk along its length without stepping into the traffic because they completely ignored the massive green transformer. In addition what was a reasonable fee has become super expensive. Parking. Over $20 per day. Mis leading advertising, long term from $8 per day, but only after you have paid full price for the first week. Council has limited the parking time around the airport to stop people parking on the streets.
A small regional airport outside Palmerston North. Pretty stock standard - sterile, charachterless, and as unwelcoming as any other airport around the country. I'm not sure why theydesign them this way - to be functional and nothing more. Air New Zealand staff fella help and courteous when I was doing my check in. No complaints there. from me re the airport itself.
Cafe upstairs is great. Was a bit late in the day so cabinet food was a bit low. Staff was great. Origin staff was amazing when shipping a kitten. %
The small airport is not far away from city center. 15 Minutes free parking for pick up and drop off right outside the airport building. One arrival and one departure gate. Air New Zealand is the only one option. Cafe with food and drinks is situated at upstair of the building.
A modern, clean, quiet and comfortable domestic airport. Customer service counter was very very helpful, courteous and polite. All information was spot on. Below are the check-in counter of Air NZ, Jetstar and . Jetstar is super strict on luggage size and weight. Only Dash 8 & AT60 aircraft lands here. Short, low clouds and wind greets landing and departing aircraft passengers. Relax offer book, magazine and sundry stuffs. Above on the 1st floor, is a cafe and offers a variety of food and drinks. There are lots of dining tables and seating areas to watch aircraft landing, unloading and boarding passengers. There are plenty of car park & 1st 15 minutes is free.
I had outstanding service from the very friendly and helpful staff at the Relay store. Wonderful experience there and at the airport. Parking was easy.
Lovely airport, but is missing one crucial thing for all lovers of aviation, which is an outdoor/open air viewing area. There are some great planes and sights to look at the the Airport, and for someone who has been on multiple trips out to the airport just to watch planes come in, load their passengers and cargo and be on there way, I'd love to be able to get close to the action and enjoy a cup of coffee. Something to consider :
