Nice place to have a swim even during low tide. There is parking available along the road. The sand is white and beautiful. There are also benches along the bank to sit. There is a jetty where you can fish with a fishing rod. There is no life guard. From here puhanui beach is also visible. I have not tried to walk across during low tide. Maybe on my next visit
Paku Scenic Reserve is a beautiful park located in Tairua, New Zealand. It's known for its stunning views of the surrounding area and is a popular spot for hiking and picnicking. The park is home to a variety of native plant and animal species, including kahikatea trees and tui birds. One of the highlights of Paku Scenic Reserve is its summit, which offers panoramic views of the Coromandel Peninsula and the Hauraki Gulf. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
Nice pebble beach. Normally quite empty except for some fishermen. There is a nice path from Paku/Pacific drive which offers great views of the estuary and Pauanui
