Did a fantastic walk along the mountains. This is a stunning good-looking station. Looks great with the mountains next to it. Like how they have kept the old fashioned Victorian English theme. This is an English station 90 years ago. By the way train to Wellington was in time.
Trains come regularly in each direction but the conductor will drive off and leave you on the platform if you aren't standing exactly in the right place. There are no markings that indicate where the train stops. The platform is >150m long.nFor all future passengers, you need to be past car Stop 4 under the awning otherwise the train will leave without you.nWe were particularly unimpressed because the conductor saw us standing further down the platform, walk towards the train, made eye contact; then proceeded to allow the train to depart before we were able to board.
