Peaceful beach with eye-popping views.nnSome of my best snaps came from a gale that blew its way through, combined with brilliant sunsets.nnDress warm during fall and winter months; onshore winds can be fierce. During high tide you have no beach to work with but low tide gives you the opportunity to enjoy a walk, or to relax in the sand.nnWe visited as autumn became winter.
VERY VERY VERY pretty magnificent gorgeous place to watch sunset and have a picnic by the beach. the beach was veryyyy beautiful and i love it so much. the sound of the waves were soo calm and serene. can spot Kapiti Island from the beach.nnvery recommended to come by here if you're in Wellington, on average its 40min drive from the city, but it is accessible by public transport. the beach is easy access and just a short walk from paekakariki train station.nnit's a long beach so you can walk with your spouse or family and spend time with them. i think the beach can swim but as i went there, no one was swimming.
Beautiful! There are benches where you can sit and enjoy your lunch. The mist from the ocean adds a refreshing touch, and you might notice your glasses getting covered with tiny water droplets. A truly serene experience!
