I tried this restaurant on the basis of its high google rating. Sadly, they failed to meet their ratings. I ordered a Doner meal, and they served the meat cold to luke warm. To make it worse, the meat was dry. It tasted like it had been cooked a while ago, and had dried out and became cold. The bread was warmer than the meat. The salad was ok, and that's the only positive about what they served. They must pay attention to what they serve, as most customers know the difference between good and dodgy food. Thank you.
Got the large Lamb doner and it was DELICIOUS!!! Fresh ingredients all around and highly recommend getting the Paasha secret sauce. Sunshine made an excellent doner!
I had a medium lamb doner here and it was delicious! Even though it was only a medium there was so much food I couldn't finish and it was all very tasty. The meat is beautifully seasoned and very well traditionally prepared- the cooks really know what they are doing. Service was very prompt despite them having quite a few customers- less than 10 minutes. Waitstaff were super friendly and helpful! Price is also great. $13 for my very large and filling meal. I consider this a bargain for such good quality. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend.
Paasha is a sit-down driven Turkish restaurant with obvious Turkish flare. Their options to sample and combine the flavors of various dishes are the real menu strengths. The restaurant nails the fundamentals and the waiters combine information, friendliness, and courtesy. A food experience.
First time I've been back here in years now live out of Dunedin the food is just as amazing as it was years ago, staff super friendly. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Best Turkish food we have had in a veryyy long time!! The food was very tasty, and great portions. Since we couldn’t decide what to choose, we ordered the shared plate for 2 with a mixed of meat and side dishes. My friends both ordered a lamb dish. The meat was just fresh, and grilled just right. We also had some coffee, apple tea too sweet for my taste, and the baklava dessert which was perfect. The portion of the baklava was quite big and I wouldn’t order it for 1. The restaurant was really busy for a Wednesday evening. So it might be smart to make reservations. My only recommendation would be to add “Ayran” Turkish yoghurt drink to the drink list, and make the Apple tea less sweet.
Consider yourself lucky if ever you stumble upon this charming shop with amazing Middle Eastern food. Lamb mandi with meat so tender you could pull it apart gently. The tagine kofta blew us away with the meaty brothers gravy amazing meal finished with some tea which they have many options of... such a perfect meal on a restful Sunday afternoon. Will definitely be back!
Just think the place needs a real good clean. While sitting in the TakeAway sitting area I looked up and saw this above the coals area...yikes!!! That's dirt that's been there ALONG time, not just from that nights cooking, I've been around kitchens!!Food: 4/5
Ordered the chicken and lamb combination doner. Salad was fresh; chicken was good but the lamb was a bit dry. Wish there was more sauce to put over the meal because there was only hummus on the plate. Overall we enjoyed our experience and a good place to have a BYO. Staff were super nice and friendly and nice atmosphere with filled tables. Takeaway here seems busy! No wonder! It’s so yummy and really good value!
Had a takeaway chicken doner with can of drink today and won’t be back. $15 for doner that fell apart in my hand. Salad topping was bland and entirely separate from meat and overall, maybe I’m spoilt by being a Melbournian where Turkish takeaway is highly quality at lower price but this was hugely expensive for average fare at best - the can of drink alone cost $5.50! Have a combo at least, people.
