I arrived in the lovely town of Owaka with all my tech needing charging and was welcomed and shown a comfy chair in the quiet library with power points, a shelf for my cuppa and free wifi and so that I could plan my days. Steph was so helpful and pointed me in the right direction to park my van for a nap, and was a wealth of knowlege about the area and surrounds.
Free WiFi, comfy chairs, warm in winter, cool in summer.nBoard games for those wet, windy Catlins days.nPop on in and see the staff.
My family uses the Owaka library when we stay at our crib in the Catlins in the school holidays. Steph and the volunteers are super friendly and helpful, and my kids love the books. The library is tidy and well organised with a good selection for the size of the town.
Wasn't the library but the museum. Was amazing for such a small town. Receptionist was lovely and very helpful
