Story

Otumoetai College is a co-educational secondary school located in the Tauranga suburb of Otumoetai. It prides itself on its diversity, offering a wide range of choices across the curriculum, as well as many extra-curricular activites ranging from drama and music to robotics and sport.

There is a large International Department at Otumoetai College, catering for international students attending from many different countries around the world.

A Special Needs Unit provides a caring learning environment to support students with particular physical and intellectual needs.

Our Sports Foundation offers a programme for elite sports people which enables them to combine their sporting activities with their school programme.

This school is unacceptable during the years I was there. I only saw people vaping and urinating everywhere except in the bathrooms. The school does not take care of the physical or mental health of the students. It's good that it will be my last year here. I would not return, not even for any teacher or Nostalgia, I come out of obligation and the future. The only redeemable thing here are the janitors who strive to keep such an unpleasant place clean. If you are thinking of putting someone in here, think twice, it won't be pleasant.
Fantasizing over prepubescent bullies is probably Principal Russel Gordon's favourite past time. You decide you want to physically assault another student? Okay, awesome! Not only will you get away with it, you will also be pleasantly surprised to receive an entire week to relax on holiday. And then, when you return, you are free to repeat this cycle again and again since there are no safety procedures that will be put into place to protect the victim. Isn't that helpful? Very recently, this scenario was reality at this school, and likely has been occurring frequently for years. The lack of response or willingness from the principal to protect victims here is atrocious. Honestly, the only explanations I can think of for his gross behaviour is either he crushes on these students and thinks if he gangs up on innocent children these bullies will come to admire him, or if he is attempting to relive his own high school experience again as now he is old his life is flashing before his eyes and all he wants is to go back to his life's peak which consisted of belittling and degrading other students. Quite frankly, I'm not sure what reasoning I would hope is the case, what do you think?
I've been a student there and i can't say anything negative about it because it's an amazing college. The teachers and students are extremly friendly and my experience as an international student was incredible. Oh and the food was amazing as well XD can definetly recommend the sweet chili wrap.
The office lady Gwen is very rude obnoxious and not so helpful. Get a new job if you don't like what an office lady does!

This school does not care about the physical safety of their students nor their mental wellbeing. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. The poor kids who stress daily having to attend school only to be bullied by other kids, then having the school treat the victims as the villains. Shame on you Otumoetai College. The ministry of education should this place shutdown and leadership fired.
Quite a big college it is and well equipped with sporting facilities. Very well organized especially when they cater for 1500plus students.

Had to take down the review because of keywords that got the review blocked, so in short, the school is full of not-so-good stuff.
Lovely school, I love the vaping community and the urine all over the bathroom floors.
