Beautiful station. Needs some TLC as does the rail network from north of Waikanae. Hopefully can be bought back to its glorious past soon.
Visited Station on 11.9.19. Noted that the platform had been extended but it was not obvious why? The interior of station building appeared largely empty and looked abandoned. Clearly the community is missing a trick. Why not celebrate the Station's history - check out Wikipedia listing??
The historic look and feel of the station was amazing. So glad it's still around and not a victim of developments. Loved it.
A bit run down. The line should be electrified and there should be more trains…
