Great dinner on a Monday evening. We had a mixture of the pizzas, pasta and meat main dishes, including a slow cooked beef cheek and porchetta!nThe food was superb and great to see a busy restaurant on a Monday! Really good to see the owner in the kitchen as well as running plates. All round great meal!nYou must visit if in MataMata
Fantastic first dinner at Marko's Osteria. Lovely atmosphere, although a bit warm by the fire. We ordered lamb shanks and chicken for dinner. Was great! Panna cotta and tiramsu for dessert, equally as great. Will definitely go back.
We came here for my husband’s birthday dinner and had such a wonderful experience! We ordered the fettuccine pasta and the lamb, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were amazing too.The atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and made the evening feel extra special. They even surprised my husband with a complimentary tiramisu for his birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch.If you’re visiting Matamata, this place is definitely a must-try. Great food, fantastic service, and a memorable dining experience. We can’t wait to come back!
The pizza was amazing, would give that 5 stars! We ordered a few dishes and the spaghetti was missed on the first serve so the person who ordered spaghetti had their food after we finished ours. The linguine had clam shells but no luck in finding the clams…however, the entrees were lovely! The tomatoes were fresh, sweet and flavorful and the duck liver was perfect.nThe atmosphere would have been 10/10 if the lighting was warmer. Dining under dim cold white light does not encourage appetite.
What a find! Incredibly surprised. Not because we were so hungry from an activity in putaruru, but the food and service speak for themselves. We highly recommend the pizzas!
