Oruatua Oasis

Almost a great place. They have motel rooms, powered sites, hot pools, a kitchen and bbqs. The showers are hot, free and unlimited The bathrooms next to the pools are modern, the other ones are quite old. Since several of their guest seem not to be interested in keeping things nice, the owners need to manage that kitchen and toilets are always clean which they weren’t during our stay. The WiFi does not reach to the campsites and is limited to 2GB per voucher We paid 25$ per person for a powered site which is quite expensive in my opinion.

We enjoyed our one night stay here in mid-September, en route to Taihape. Great place to break journey. The owners were friendly and very responsive to our queries, in particular when we had difficulty accessing the wifi and also requesting a bulb change. The room was clean, black out curtains were available, beds super comfy, parking right outside our unit. The kitchenette was very handy. It was perfect for our family of 4, including a 4 and 2 year old. Prior to leaving the host offered us advice to drive safely on the windy roads, for which we were grateful. Thank you.

Unfortunately not up to Standard very run down *Reception was dirty and stunk like cats *communal kitchen was so dirty *baked on food around the elements *Floor not swept or mopped in a very long time. *dishes not packed away *there was no way I could stomach to stand in that kitchen let alone cook in it. *Stated oven in studio but no oven *hot pools dirty *couple fighting *outdoor seated area a real mess *room was clean and tidy Everything else is a real mess We were therefor 20mins and checked out.. Thankfully we received a refund. Unfortunately I would avoid this placeat all costs

Incredibly kind owners! Had a family situation come up and couldn’t make the night. He was so reasonable and welcomed us back for the next time. We have only heard amazing things about this campsite. Excellent location. Thanku!!!!!

Asthetically not a 'top of the line' motel...BUT... the people were friendly, .the service was great.. the bed was as comfortable as can be, plenty of pillows and towels. Breakfast was made exactly to my request..and to top it off...it was so clean, you could eat off the floor !! .I absolutely recommend Oasis.Rooms: 5/5

Have spent the last couple of New Year's at Oasis and have loved the laid back nature of the staff and being able to switch off and relax in the hot pools after a day on the lake! Highly recommended and will be back this year!Service: 5/5

My whanau and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Oasis we enjoyed our stay here at this family friendly environment, it had loads to offer including BBQ area, heated and cold pools, playground, gym and even a petting zoo with friendly animals we could touch and play with even feed them, the owners were amazing they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable even cooking our diner and delivering it to our room after our afternoon swim at the pools. We will forsure return and recommend the Oasis Turangi for you and your whanau.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place for families. The pools and the area itself were dirty, the toilet facilities were not up to standard. Very poor care of the animals. The owners were very rude and very difficult to deal with. If you’re looking for an expensive dirty place to stay then the oasis is your place.

Worse motel I've ever Incounted someone needs to contact the SPCA animals were miserable and uncared for it was so sad!! Don't even get me started on the owner inappropriate and unprofessional if you asks me this place definitely needs new management judging from the discusting facilities outside I wouldn't dare stay in one of the rooms

Fantastic place. Great facility for camping in tents. People are friendly and welcoming. Close to swimming spots and Taupo just up the road. Thank you for having our tribe and our dogs. We will definitely be back!Service: 5/5
